When he died is of no help.

We need to know when he was BORN

And if he died in 1961, I'd say finding him might be easy. ;)

You should have read the instructions you see when you "Add topic", Rod.

"Give as much detail as possible when explaining who you are trying to find. If known, try putting the name, place of birth and year of birth in the subject line of your thread. All known information will make it much easier for volunteer helpers to help you."

What it doesn't actually say is: say what you are trying to find.

One of my familes is from Irchester / Rushton / Higham Ferrers from way back. Cousins!

Once you get way back, I have the parish records for Northamptonshire marriages, so may be able to help with pre-registration info, one reason I'm posting here, to get this in "my threads".
