Member Since: April 2004 Posts: 6 Send Message	Trying to locate my grandfather's birthplace. He is listed on the 1891 census as living at 117 Manchester Road, Nelson, Lancs. His name William Wilson, married Hannah Emily Jones in 1888, Hannah was born in Wales. Burnley and Pendle Register Office have no record of his birth. William according to his marriage certificate was born in 1863. He was landlord of the New Inn, Nelson in the early 1920s. His children were: Herbert born 1889 Killed in action France 1918 Arthur born 1895 Died 1978 Gladys born 1899 Died 1984 Bert Cowgill

	Hi Bert Just wondered if you knew the name of william wilsons father from the marriage certificate??? have you found him yet on the 1881 census at all??? And wondered wether it said his birht place on the 1891 census. I will try to help if you have any more details shirley
