Hi my name is Joan Wilson and would love to know if anyone knows any history on my paternal grandfather and grandmother Herbert and Mary Wilson (nee Chesters). I believe they originated from Wednesbury in Staffordshire and moved to Victoria Street in Hemsworth South Yorkshire where grandfather worked in the mines -I read somewhere that grandfather walked from Staffs to Yorkshire! My recollection is that they had about 12 children - my dad John (Jack), Alice, Marjorie, Olive, Ruben, Bill, Albert, Nancy unfortunately I can't remember them all. Would love to hear from anyone who might be related! Thanks |
