Hi, my name is Hazel Wilson & I'd love to hear from anyone descendant from Tom Wilson, born in Wigton, Cumbria in September 1858. He was a colliery blacksmith. His parents were Edward & Jane (nee Creddy formerly Wilkinson). Tom married Jane Mattinson (nee Spedding) in December 1882. Their children were Tom Edward (my grandfather), Joseph, Mary, Simon, William Scott, Jane & Lizzie. I can remember a Billy Wilson who was a cousin of my father coming from London to visit my grandparents. He had a daughter also called Hazel. I also remember a Jackie Wilson (another cousin of my father) who lived in Haltwhistle in the 1950's. He has two sons, Clifford & Lawrence (who had red hair). They emigrated to Canada in the mid 1950's. |
