Hi, I am David Window (Manchester) many years ago we had the heraldry of the name Window researched, a coat of arms exists and was awarded by the Bishop of Gloucester in 1660 to the family name Window. The Coat of Arms is a Blue azure shield with double battlements across the centre in gold. Surrounding the battlements are three blue lions paws. Atop the shield is a lions paw holding a 'crossed crosslet' significant as this is usually a sign of a religious connection hence the award being made by the Bishop of Gloucester. The lions paw holds a sword (the crossed crosslet) each arm of the gaurd on the sword and the handle itself is a crucifix.
