Trying to find Worner

Do you have an Elsie Worner in your family, born approx 1891 possibly in or around Wallendbeen (country NSW, Australia) ?

Her birth name was Elsie M Ebinger & her parents were John F Ebinger, a native of Germany, & Rebecca (nee Miers). Elsie was born in Camden NSW in 1891 & they later moved to Wallendbeen. We cannot find any other records apart from a birth registration.

John came home from work one day & found Rebecca had left him & their daughter. In letters exchanged between them prior to their divorce, she comments she was glad to hear he had 'given' Elsie to a couple named Worner to raise. She would have been around 5 or 6 years old at the time. They may have registered her birth again using their name Worner, & showing the town of Wallendbeen (or thereabouts) as her birth place.

I would love to solve this longstanding mystery & hope there is someone out there who can help....
