Safari Users - Clear Cache

We have just deployed a new version of Genes that should fix the issue being experienced by Safari (Windows/Mac/iPad) users, where users are being logged out when navigating around the website, and most often when you try to view images or transcriptions.

BUT you will have to clear your cache of existing cookies. This is done by clicking on the cog in the top right of the screen, select Preferences, then Security, then Show Cookies, then Remove All. Close these windows, and you will be asked to login in again.

This issue seems to have been caused by Safari having a limit on the size of the information block (header) that is passed from Genes to the browser. As a result we are going to disable a couple of minor features (e.g. storing of the previous search) until we can implement a cleaner solution. This temporary option should allow Safari users to access all parts of the site without being logged out unexpectedly.
