Yes I got the same response when the census images were blank, it was blamed on my computer, so I did nothing and lo and behold the images returned.but that was 4 weeks of torture.
Wait til its time to renew, I've a little list of things I didnt get !

Alyson. Report 8 Nov 2008 22:30

I have had the same problems for the past 2 evenings.
I have complained to Ancestry but unlikely to get any response until at least Tuesday.
I had the same problems a few months ago and at that time they tried to tell me that it was a problem with my computer which i knew was not true.

I hope that you all have complained too. The more people that complain the more likely they are to sort it out.

No results found keeps flashing up, and then take 14 day trial between each quarter, The last few days have been real time-wasters.

I had that trouble today as well.

But if you go down underneath the search box (at least on births, I assume on deaths too) there's a list of years. Click on the year you want, then on the letter you're looking for. It brings up the quarters for you in the letter you want, then you can skip pages to the name you're looking for.

I had a problem yesterday with that index. Every name I typed in - including Smith - came back as "person" and no results at all!

CLW2005

CLW2005 Report 8 Nov 2008 17:22

is anyone else having problems with browsing the actual index??
It's the complete index 1837 - 1983
Normally I can type in a name and year and view each quarter,
wondered why this is suddenly not happening!
I have world membership - so surely I should have access to this bit!
I have emailed ancestry - but it could be Tuesday before I get a reply! There's service for you!
