I don't often come onto the communities board so, I apologise if this has been mentioned before. After talking to a descendent of a Welsh family who was in the first migration of the Welsh to the States in the 1800's, I found the following link http://www.welshmormonhistory.org/index.php?/immigrants/index/110 which lists over 6000 Welsh migrants. Most are listed with family info including BMD. Some have photos. I have noticed that some people often get 'stuck' researching and can't go any further - maybe you can find your ancestor here.
