I happened across these two sites for directories that might be useful if you are researching in Victoria in the mid 1860s.....

This is the start of the 1869 Victoria Post office Directory:

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=SgUFAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false

....and this will take you the 1866/1867 Post Office Directory for Melbourne and suburban Victoria:

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=wQkFAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=victoria+post+office+directory#v=onepage&q&f=false

You can search by name on the left hand side and input a page number at the top.

I hope these help.
