Nicola Report 7 Jun 2012 10:43

Anyone tracing the Hodgkinson family in Wells/Wookey Hole in Somerset may be interested to know that the gardens at Glencot House will be open to the public for charity on June 17th 2012.

The Hodgkinson family purchased the Glencot estate in 1864 and lived at the house until 1927. Descendants of the family lived in Wookey Hole until the 1960’s.

Glencot House is now privately owned so this is a good opportunity to visit.

The garden will be open from 11am until 4pm, entry is £3, teas and plants will be on sale.

Access is from Titlands Lane (BA5 1BD), follow the signs for Wookey Hole Cricket Club.
