Found a list of casualties with more info on the names. I'd already decided to 'play' with some of the less-usual names to see what I could find. Wilfred Borrett is on the list of 'casualties' and the wall list. VL Lemarchand is only on the wall list. I've found a possible death for him in 1919.

http://www.cwgc.org/find-a-cemetery/cemetery/38237/HARTLEPOOL%20(STRANTON)%20CEMETERY

Historical Information
The cemetery, which covers over 30 acres, contains war graves of both world wars, the 1914-1918 burials being scattered in various parts of the cemetery.

After the 1914-1918 War, a Cross of Sacrifice was erected inside the main entrance to the cemetery.

During the early months of the 1939-1945 War, a piece of ground was set aside by the local authorities for service war burials, which became the War Graves Plot. The site selected is immediately behind the Cross of Sacrifice, on the eastern side of the cemetery near the entrance.

There are 43 Commonwealth casualties of the 1914-1918 war and 132 of the 1939-1945 war buried in this site.

A Screen Wall bears 80 names of those buried in Hartlepool North Cemetery whose graves can no longer be maintained, 76 being of the 1914-1918 war and 4 of the 1939-1945 war.

I wonder if they can get any more id from the numbers. I've never done military but presume so.

If they could and would let us have that extra info, there must be others besides me who would be happy to have a go and at very least give them some possible contacts.
