and your name on the OP of any thread that you started before you changed your name, will not change ...........

it will stay under your original Board name

:-D :-D :-D Thanks very much. Thanks Ken - not too bothered about index delays. Just thought I must be making an elementary mistake, which I was. Tried for Cochyn (was John) as board name and as IGPen pointed out - yoiu can't use brackets or leave spaces :-D

Anyway I like to be nasty - ever since I played a nice Buttons in pantomime at 18 and was cheered less loudly than the villain was booed, I have wanted to be Nasty. Not like Nasty Nick, mind :-( :-(

Check that there isn't an error message telling you that some of the data you have entered is invalid as if it is, it won't update.

For example you are not permitted to use spaces or certain characters such as symbols in your board name.

Thanks Marie. I had no photo, so when I enetered all 3 boxes, ticked the "yes" box for use new board name and saved - only the photo appeared. Tried switching computer off and on, but still nothing happened.

Agree - will probably have to contact support and get them to do it for me. Will wait a couple of days and try again - just in case it is one of these infernal glitches we seem to keep experiencing

John, your board name is the same as it's always been and you have no research interests showing.

If you're sure you've done it right and it's not working then contact Genes support. No-one on here can sort it for you.

I have just changed my avatar, my board name and my research interests.

Have now saved 4 times. Avatar changed on my first attempt, but name change and research interests have not altered, as you can see.

Help please?
