As his Army Record doesn't appear to have survived, I am afraid there is no other way to find any details.

Chris I have to go out for a while but if nobody has looked up his military record for you I will have a look when I get back.

Chris, only about 30% off WW1 Army records have survivied. I have looked but cannot find one for James. There are 7 medal cards for James F Scott. 5 of them were in Scottish regiments, these are the other two:

Regimental Number: 3305, 631235
He received the Victory and British medals.

He also received the Victory and British medals.

Did James survive the war?
