Are there any baptisms please for that Edward and Richard buried in Shipley.... or was Edward perhaps baptised as BLUNDEN which I believe was Susan's maiden name?

So many questions ..sorry.

Thank you Choccy

I wouldn't ask for generally... That would be like asking for any SMITHs elsewhere, as Sussex is / was the stronghold for that name.......

If possible please could you give any ages shown for BELCHAMBER burials in HENFIELD 1608 - 1760.. ( We know names and dates thank you, but not ages for the 8 burials noted.)

In SHIPLEY again friend has noted names and dates, but has no ages for BELCHAMBER burials 1740 - 1801 ( 7 burials noted here.)

Any help you can give would be great thank you.

Do you want Belchamber burials just in Shipley and/or Henfield, or just generally?

Some of the burials have ages and others do not!

Thank you Choccy.

Can I ask if this is a copy of fiche or film of registers that we could obtain please?

Please could you tell me if burials 1740 - 1801 have ages please?
We are interested in BELCHAMBER burials between those dates to clarify people.
I believe these include a Richard and an Edward and they are of particular interest.
Another person of interest is Sarah Penfold BELCHAMBER bapt.27 April 1746.
Please could you tell me any details you have on the record please?

Thank you for any help you are able to give.

I have access to Shipley St Mary baptisms - 1585 - 1901
and Shipley St Mary burials 1584 - 1900 (both unchecked by Sussex FHG).

Let me know if I can try and help.

Reggie

Thank you for your reply.
We are really looking for the snippets of detail which are often revealed on original records and which don't show in transcriptions.
I am helping a friend who is seeking the origins of a family who ended up mainly in the Littlehampton area. She has been contacted by another researcher who thinks they go back to a Thomas BELCHAMBER from Shipley and born c. 1760.... but there is another contender, - another Thomas born Henfield about the same time, so we are looking for information which would hopefully give more clarity.

Friend has many pieces of information and has researched in person at W.S.R.O. Chichester, but any Shipley notes are only from transcriptions, so we are hoping for primary records.

Does anyone have access to parish records for about 1700-1800 for this parish please?
We have information from N B I but would welcome any additional information available to back these and information too from baptism records which may also help to identify people.
