I am a platinum member and have just signed up to military records only to find that I cannot trace the person who I know fought from 1914 to 1918 and received 2 medals. Why is this? Should I have subscribed elsewhere? |

The other thing to bear in mind is that around 65% of WW1 records were destroyed during WW2 |

His medal records should be on Ancestry or on the National Archives site - did he survive the war? |

Bear in mind that GR do not have any records which aren't taken from other sites...........mainly FMP, which is owned by the same parent company |
