Exeter workhouse records (research)? I'm sure I read that many records were destroyed in a fire, I'm wondering if anyone knows whats left. The 1870's I'm interested in. Thankyou. |

Some of my ancestors were from Devon and I have found Devon Record Office really helpful in the past. I'm sure they will be able to tell you what records are available. I usually email my query and they will also photocopy and post documents to you for a very reasonable fee. The phone number is 01392 384253 and the email address is: devrec@devon.gov.uk |
