Help wanted! transfering data between trees

the short answer is that none of the helpers, or any other expert, would recommend that you copy blindly any possible ancestors from anyone else's tree.

You use those names as suggestions only, and add them to your tree only when you have confirmed that they are indeed your relatives. This means checking and double checking sources, buying certificates, and getting as much documentation as you can to support all individuals in your tree.

It is far too easy to go wrong if you copy.

Malcolm, Welcome to the boards

Rather than copying i would if i were you use the data as a guide rather than a fact? Until you have confirmed that the data is accurate and backed up with documentary evidence to support ALL individuals and connections listed in any tree
