Thanks Wend for your useful reminder about "pages" and "sites"....no need for Reggie to get so hot under the collar.
Trying to make sense of KenSE helpful remarks.......will try it that way. Thanks to Janet and Carol as well................ I thought I was going mad :-))
Regards,
Pam

I think Pamela means 'page' not 'site'.

I don't see that there is a problem.

I went to the Home Page
Selected Historical Records
On the left is Census (England) with a selection that includes All Census records,
I selected all census records
Typed in a name of someone who lived 1834-1913.
Lo and behold a list appeared with him on all censuses with options to view each entry.

No need to retype the same information for each census.

Funny thing I noticed that too....its a real nuisance when doing a full trawl
WHY do companies tamper with things

You must know which website you are using.............

Genes Reunited is a 'site'.

Ancestry is a 'site'

FMP is a 'site'

Hi All,
Can some one tell me whats happened to the drop down menu for the census years. I have just gone on to the censuses site and usually we are able to type in the details of a person and go from 1841 to 1851 to 1861 etc by a drop down menu but this morning I have to kept retyping the details.
Thanks,
Pam :-(
