This is the diary of Frederick Wheeler. Stone Mason 1821-23
Second great grandfather to George Evans - grandfather to Paul Laurence Evans.
George-Ethel Wheeler – Elizabeth Wheeler – John Wheeler – Frederick Wheeler
When Fred wrote this diary he was 24 living in North Piddle as
a Tenant farmer and Stone Mason. He had been married 12
months with a young son William only two months old. The diary
gives an account of the death of his first son and the birth of his
second, John Wheeler in Piddle.
Shortly after the diary ends Fred moved to Cleve Prior where he
went on to have another son Thomas Hardy Wheeler and a
daughter Elizabeth Wheeler. He died at the age of 54.

Thanks for that, DIZZI. I found it very interesting! My, he did a lot of walking, didn't he? So sad, losing his young son but he seemed to accept it very matter of factly as they probably did in those days, it being a common occurance.
