Could anyone recommend the best place to get a DNA test done for ancestral origins (I think that is how it is put). I don't want to spend all that money and then find I still don't know where my ancesters originated from.

Not sure, but there is a programme on BBC tonight which traces Eddie Izzard's ancestry via his DNA - there might be some useful info on there, who knows - though they will probably make it seem more straightforward than it is!
Have you google searched your query?

Hi

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I'm going to watch the Eddie Izzard ancestry tonight - have sky plused it just in case I forgot.

I've googled DNA ancestral testing and there are a few come up but it's knowing which one to pick. Ancestry used to do it and there's a tool bar on the top of their home page where you can click on to "DNA" but now it's just for the Americans. I will have to have another look and try to pick one out.
