I am not sure if I am supposed to ask this, on Ancestry marriages London up to 1921 there is a marriage1915 of a Albert Edward Adams and Nora Cowling which says soiled. I cannot find this again later on in the records, anybody any ideas. Sheila

There are some entries which have 'cancelled' through them!

Which line are you following? If it's Albert Edward Adams, have you been able to find his service record? That might give some clues if he'd been mobilized

He was a Butcher- No dependents - nok Albert Adams

On reflection, neither military records could be right. The 'spoiled' MC states that his father was deceased.

Maybe he hadn't asked the Army's permission to marry....?
This was required at one time.

There is no middle name on the register.
Why did you think it was 'your' Albert.... or are you seeking him in any place?

Albert had the right fathers name and I have checked the records born in Finchley mother Sarah Adams at the correct address seemed to be in France 25.10.1915 to 12.5.11916 this is on the pensions records.
