Tracing my ancestor

I'm looking for a needle in a haystack! I'm looking for someone called William Williams. I don't know for definite when he was born but I know from newspaper articles that in 1914 he lived in Market Row Nantyglo, S. Wales; in 1919 he was living in Graig Terrace, Cwm, Ebbw Vale, S. Wales and in 1929 he was still living in Cwm. None of the newspaper articles give a number for the houses he lived at. I've tried electoral registers for 1919 and years either side and recently trekked through rent books at the Records Office. All to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas on how to find this man?

My logic is, as I have found a William Williams in Market Row, Nantyglo on the 1911, if I could find a William Williams in Graig Terrace, Cwm; if that WW had a wife, I could send for the Marriage Cert; if the name of the father for WW was the same as the father in Market Row then I know I have the right WW. - Yes, it is very complicated but I know what I mean!

Please could someone come up with some suggestions.

Many thanks, Sandy

Have only one post rather than duplicate

See: http://www.genesreunited.co.za/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1325299

There were many men called William Williams living in CWM who are shown in the 1911 census plus many more living within the Ebbw Vale registration district.

Indeed 'Jonesey'. I've already found that out!! But the William Williams I'm looking for was not living in Cwm in 1911, he was living in Nantyglo. I've found a William Williams in Market Row, Nantyglo (where the newspaper article I have says he was living) but I need to be sure its the one I'm looking for. The only way I can think of to do this is to find a William Williams in Graig Terrace, Cwm (where a second newspaper article says he was living in 1919).

My bad luck to be looking for the 3rd most common name in Wales!
