searching birth parents perhaps?

I have put it here rather than General chat as it is specifically about someone discovering they were adopted and then finding birth parents. I think it is a good little insight, on feelings re 'nature' and 'nurture'.

A very moving story. It does reflect the same feeling one of my own distant cuz who I mentioned somewhere was given away by her mother who kept her older sister.

She always talks about her adopted parents - her birth mother who she did meet before she died, she said she couldn't get attached to. Though her sister is her best friend. Their half bros who I found three years ago, both sisters have a sort of bond with him but they decided that they won't mention the past so nobody gets upset.

I do know of cases where finding out that they were adopted has destroyed them emotionally......................
