Assuming England or Wales

- Check the correct spelling on the birth indexes....initials can be important.
- Look for marriages about 20 - 25 years after the birth. This is especially important for females
- Check for births from any marriage by using the original surnames of the couple.
Freebmd have transcriptions upto about 1958. Subscription sites such as GR, Ancestry and Findmypast have BMD to 2005/6.

Use the 'search all trees' function on this site for all the names you have gathered
Other places to look are Friendsreunited and facebook.
Google the names. Its surprising what can turn up
Try LinkedIn - social networking website for people in professional occupations.

http://www.192.com/?gkw=192+com Commercial listed Electoral Rolls from 2002. bear in mind that there is the option to 'opt out'.
https://www.livingrelativesearch.co.uk/ also ER
Both the above are pay to view - no subscriptions

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com - phone book on line

If you haven't noticed it, there is a specific board on GR called Find Living Relatives where some of our fellow members have good results in helping to find the 'lost.

Adopted people are more difficult to find as they are more likely to have had a name change. If birth family are looking for them, then they should register with the Adoption Contact Register (£30) and hope that the family member has done the same

P.S. Before anyone asks if my crystal ball was working last night - it was not. I remembered a previous thread, now deleted, by the poster and took a chance at the names.
