I am desperately trying to find the birth record for my maternal grandfather and am getting nowhere fast. He's an enigma. His birthday (so I am told) was 14th February 1899. His parents I believe were Joseph Henry Edwards and Frances Fanny Louisa Morley. I have three times had a refund from GRO due to them not being able to find his birth record. I have had absolutely no luck finding him on genealogy sites either! However, I can find his marriage certificate to Agnes Mary Anne Juliana Graydon in 1923 in London.

I'm wondering whether he was adopted?

Could anyone shed any light for me?? thank you for any help you can give.

Do you have his marriage cert to confirm his fathers name (if known)?

This would be his parents marriage if your info is correct

Hi Lois

The other children are showing on the London Baptism records but nothing for Albert.

He may have been taken in by the Edwards family and if this is the case, I doubt very much you will be able to find his birth.

Do you have his death certificate to check if there are any clues on it?

In 1901 Louise and Robert are with their Morley Grandmother but I can't locate the other children or their parents.
