..............

I've just got four marriage certificates for my great grandmother. I'm thinking she may have been a black widow. :-S

My 2x gt grandmother married four times. The first three were all named John. On the latter three certificates she stated she was a spinster.

My great grandmothers fourth husband was 21 years younger than her. She still managed to out live him. :-)

Well good for her Graham, sounds a bit of a girl!

I guess her previous husbands were actually dead when she remarried?

Yeah. That's why I think she might be a black widow. ;-) I might have to get their death certificates to make sure. :-D

Hmm - hope they didn't die of poisoning or had suffered nasty falls!

Seriously, it makes you wonder what people might have got away with back then .....

I've got her death certificate. It says she died of 'cardiac failure'. So in the end she died of a broken heart. :-(

Well, I've got my great granddads death certificate. Thankfully he wasn't poisoned. :-) He was shot & stabbed! :-0
