When you are certain it that isn't in the GRO?

As Jax said plus are you relying on transcriptions or have you checked the actual index images?

What do you do when you have found one?

I have seen that the LDS have posted the Banns for in Wimbish, Essex in 1840.

I now know that the actual Marriage in 1840 is in the Parish Records, so it seems to be the only one missing in the GRO, small Parish so it is likely to be just the one quarter as it was the only Marriage that took place then.
