Because of reading this, I've just opened up the site in another tab.

Along the top they've posted (in blue)

Note: You may be experiencing some intermittent service with the Ancestry.co.uk website. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

So they know they are having problems - do you think their internet feed has frozen up? It's incredibly cold over that side of the Atlantic at the moment! :-D

GENES TEAM - please note. If you tell your paying customers that you are aware of problems while they are occurring, there will be fewer grumbles to come your way.

a tip that could help

even though my subscription is for UK basic through the .co.uk site, I am signed in to Ancestry via the .com portal. I just remembered why ... when you want to do anything with the DNA part of Ancestry, you have to go to the .com one and sign in, so I just stayed signed in there. (I never sign out of anywhere :-) )

I don't think it has had any problems today, so you can always try that. Also you can be signed in through more than one portal at once I think.

Does anyone know what the "last signed in" message refers to ?

Mine says 11 months and yet I am on there most days.

My sub was paid in November-is it that ?

I had to log in again last Friday after using CClean so....... :-S

Does anyone else not like the new way ancestry is showing things. I found it more helpful the old way when you knew almost at once if you had found your relatives.
