Searching through the burial records of St Saviour, Southwark, for the early 1800s, I noticed that everyone with the surname of Peache, of which there were several, had an asterix next to their name, and at the bottom of the page was written "Removed to St John Lambeth by virtue of a faculty dated ...... now in my possession". I am not related to these people, it just raised my curiosity. Bob |
