Yes, sorry, it was boiler maker for Robert Wallace.

Thank you.

The last letter of the first word is 'r'. Boiler Maker?
That would tie in with his subsequent trade of Blacksmith.

If I am reading it correctly, I think it says he is a brick maker which I have seen somewhere else for Robert Wallace.

Thank you.

There is something amiss with the GR records.

Search for Daniel Chadwick 1847 Macclesfield and look at the Household Transcription. Daniel is Person 7 (on the image he is person 8) with James Yeoman as Person 8 -being the last person.

However, after Daniel on the image comes, not James Yeomans, but:-

John Johnson
Robert Wallace
Aaron Wood
Ann Creed
..and more..

EDIT - Daniel is person 9 on the image, not 8.

Inky1, when I search on Genes Reunited for that census record, it doesn't seem to be there?

Ancestry: This family group are on 2 x Public Trees. Neither include the 1891 census.

Hi,

I know that Robert hadn't died because I have found him on the 1901 census and I have his death certificate (1929).

:-)

You say you know he hadn't died........is that because you have found him in 1901?

What does the 'C' represent?

Hi,

I can't seem to find an ancestor on the 1891 census. His name is Robert C Wallace born 1867 Hartlepool. In the 1881 census he is living in Durham with his parents and 2 sisters but I can't seem to find him on the 1891 census. His mother is on the 1891 census as May Wallace with her daughters but no Robert. I know that Robert hadn't married or died by this point so I would appreciate any help in finding where he was.

His mother on the 1891 census is shown as a widow, his father Joseph was on the 1881 but had died by 1891 but I can't find a death for him.

Thanks. :-)
