If she is no longer living, post the full details, and we'll look at it

If she had children, the correct maiden name should show on their birth registrations


having said that, if she's your relation, you must know what her name was at birth

That was her first marriage as far as I know.
All the geneology sites are giving me the two names, it's 1947 so after the census.
Havn't tried free site never knew about it.

Which site are you using that is giving you two names?

Is it before the 1911 census?

Can you give more details?

Have you used FreeBMD site?

I feel Im up against a brick wall at times but I have hit another snag, when looking to see if my female relative is married it says she is/was but it gives me two names as in brown or smith ? anyone else have this, if so what to do please ?
