Hi, thanks for replying. Informant on death certificate was doctor at Sully Hospital, near Barry, which is where he died.
I have met him, when I was about 12 years old.
Not done any ER research for Llantwit Major, but if he only moved to that area later than 1930 ish, I don't know where he was before that.

Who was the informant on his death certificate?

Did your grandfather or your parents ever mention him?

Unlikely to find a reason why he moved - have you done any local searches of ER's?

I've been looking for 30 years for my great uncle (brother to my grandfather). I have his b. and d. certificates showing he was born in Budbrooke, Warwickshire, and died in Barry, South Wales. I recently found he rented property in Llantwit Major, near Barry, worked as a chef, buried in Barry's Cemetary in a pauper's grave. However, I'd love to find out why and when he left Warwickshire (he appears in Electoral Rolls till 1930), and where he was between 1930 and 1972. No marriages seem to exist.
