Hi Pat.
Can't really answer this without knowing who you are looking for!
However, the most common errors are when you make assumptions, such as where they were born. Try being less specific.
What site are you using?

hello everyone I hope you are all well.
I am going cross eyed, I have been searching the census records for nearly a week and cant find my ggrandparents, I cant even find my grandmother so I can work back not a trace, please can someone tell me where I'm going wrong?
