Does anyone know how to view a saved certificate on a tree at Ancestry please?

Previously I have just clicked on the image and it opens. Now when I click the image I get a grey screen with a green bar at the bottom which says 'remove crop'

:-S

I have this too since the last tree 'upgrade' when using Internet Explorer. Only way round it for me is to use a different browser. Firefox or Safari work properly.

I am slowly getting use to the new Ancestry but, I dont like the fact that any documents which attached to a person but aren't attached to a specific event, are no longer showing on the tree view.

The docs are now stored in Gallery but, there's nothing to indicate that there are photos or documents stored there.

Yesterday, I uploaded a photo to the wrong person.
Under the old version, all I needed to do was click on the image and I had the option to save it to another person (the correct one) then, I simply deleted it from the wrong one.

I can't find any way to attach an existing document to another person.
I had to delete it from this person and re upload to the correct individual.

Is there another way to do this?

GL, I can't help, sorry

I am leaving Ancestry next month as the search facility has become 'dumb'

For example: search BMDs and you don't get marriages!

Try opening the photo. On the right hand side in the white margin, you should see
Linked to
(Name)

Underneath that in blue type is
+ Add

Click on that, and a small box opens up to say
Link to another person
Then name of the tree (I've several so it prioritises the one the photo is in)
Then in light print 'Find a person'
Should be able to type the correct person's name in
NB - if you can't see the white 'details' section, clich on the symbol top near the top of the image page that looks like an arrow and a horizontal bar. -- >|

Deleting is from the screen with the image/doc or what ever.
To the left of the white margin are 3 symbols
An arrow followed by a vertical bar which is to hide or open details
magnifying glass
a spanner and hammer (tools)
You need the Spanner and Hammer.
Click on that
2 options - download to desktop or delete from tree.

Haven't tried it out, so not sure if the copy attatched to another person disappears as well.

Thanks Det,
You are good at this new Ancestry malarky

I had uploaded a number of Scottish 1911 census returns to the head of household only, with a view to attaching it to all the household members at a later date.
I couldn't figure out how to do it.

I do now... Thankies

No problem - until it was mentioned, I didn't realise stuff was in the Gallery! Most of my extra docs etc are on my off-line tree.

Det,
Before the New Ancestry became permanent, I made a visit to the GRO in Glasgow who dont have the facility to save docs to a USB.

I came home with loads of hard copies of BDMs and wills
I simply scanned them, and added them to the individuals .
I had so many to scan but, not enough time to add each one to the event
( Birth/Death/Marriage)

Initially I couldn't find any of the docs that I added
Then I remembered that I could still access the Media Gallery for the whole tree .
I could see what I uploaded and who it was attached to.

That's when I realised that new Ancestry puts these straight into the individual 's Gallery.
There's no indicator to remind you that they're there!

I am tracing articles in newspapers but can not view it when I click on "view article". It just gives me a blank page.
