Ti, you may not have realised that 'helpers' tend to look at all the reasearch boards.
Member A might spot a post on FLR before moving on to other boards.
Member B might look at GeneChat first
Member C could start on Find Ancestors before moving on.

So you've 3 people giving you the same advice or making the same searches. With just the one thread, members will pool their resources & reach a much better outcome.

Hi hope someone can advise. Am wondering if I have a name age and occupation and location of someone, if I can search any records which would give me further information.. Trying to find an old family member?
