Thank you. I have been going round in circles with the page for a week. Ancestry did it in 2 minutes, not nice when Genes hide like that. I was most amused that I could end my membership with one click, no turning back, but keep it going by maintaining contact, no way! Incidentally, my Michael is 80 this month. Diane

I just got a reply to them. I e mailed them earlier in the week and so had given up. It must have arrived!

As they say that they aim to reply within 3 days, delays are to be expected. Unlike Ancestry, they run this site on a shoe string.

Hope you've managed to sort it out.

Are you stating that the Change Email and Password page does not work?

I also have been going round in circles so I've written to the support team but no reply as yet.
Frustrating

So far as some of us have been able to work out, there is only 1 person who replies to emails and queries for GR, and they work out of the FMP office.

To find out how to make contact with GR, scroll down to the very bottom of the page showing on your screen on either your Home Page or the Boards Page. Click on Company Information.

That will give you a postal address

Click on Press Contact (I'm not joking!!!)

That gives MEMBERS the email address of [email protected]

Click on 1939 Register

That takes you to FMP, scroll down to the bottom of the page you are taken to and click on Contact Us

You will find a phone number there

Call +44 (0)20 3326 6300

Remember both FMP and GR work from Monday to Friday, ca 8:30 am to ca 4:30 pm

They say they will reply to emails sent to [email protected] within 3 days ON AVERAGE

Amazing...

When you think about the number of posts that query why someone hasn't received a reply to a PM and then members tell them it might be that they haven't changed their email address so it won't get through.

If GR make it so difficult to change it then it is no wonder some will give up trying!

To change a password email or both the option is found in Account. the left hand menu list has this listed ,,,you must click save changes.

Kay ............

it does seem as though that option is not working, based on the number of times this question has been asked over the last few months :-(

Right. This morning I went through the motions of changing my email address. Like many folk I keep a couple of 'spare' ones. But I inadvertently changed to one that I use for my No.2 GR account - a free one which I use when I am setting up a tree for friends, etc.

I logged out and logged in using the 'new' email. And this is what I got:-

You have multiple Genes Reunited accounts
Please select the account you would like to log in to

The email address used matches multiple Genes Reunited accounts. Please choose the account you would like to sign in to from the list below and remember the password you have used today. Your other account/s will not be deleted, and you will be able to choose which account you want to sign in to each time you log in. If you would prefer to delete your other account/s please contact our support team.

Despite all the comments from others, for me the change process worked.
BTW The No.2 account does have a different password. And GR appear to have fixed what was a problem with two or more accounts on one email address.

I wanted to change my e mail address and when I contacted the support team I was told they would do it on my behalf. Sent them particulars of what I wanted to change it to and they did it the day after.
