Has anyone else found an ancestor listed at two different addresses in a census? I think I’ve found my great great grandfather in Kenilworth and Kings Norton on the same night!

Frequently

Yes, often.

For one example, a child in my tree spending the night of the census with her grandparents was listed correctly with her grandparents, but also at home with her parents.

Thanks for the replies. I can stop looking for a birth certificate for what I thought might be two different people. Susan

Yes !

My grt grt grandmother was a monthly nurse .
In 1881 she is listed at her home address and the address where she was attending a new mother

Am guessing she was at the new mums but her husband mistakenly thought she lives with us so he gave her name to the enumerater too
