I have not got anywhere in finding a 'Marriage' in the name of..............

'James Buttress' B 1811-1816 Deal Kent & 'Eliza' or perhaps Elizabeth 1816-1818 B CORK. Ireland

Their 1st born was Ann B 1833 ? Bristol ........shown on 1841C living in Deal Kent.

2 sons followed James B abt. 1836 & George B abt. 1839, both B. Co. Cork Ireland

Their father was shown to be a 'Boatman' or 'Mariner'

I have tried 'Family Search' over many years...to no avail.
& I am not with any other Gen Web Site(s) have looked on 'google' as well.

Can someone please help me in this long time search.....Thanks! :-( :-(

i'm seeking...its a difficult one as there are many families probably related

but mine also have the 'irish' connection, which has been the stumbling block!

Dover Express 07 October 1865

On Saturday afternoon at Deal, a boatman named James Buttress, committed suicide by hanging himself in a store on the beach used for the purpose of keeping boat gear and materials. He was found quite dead, with his feet almost reaching the floor, by his son. The deceased was nearly 60 years of age, and for some time past had shown unmistakeable signs of mental derangement.

Not his marriage but what a sad death, his poor son.
