Desperate to find missing rellies from various cenuses: William Eacott/Ecoot/Eckot, born c 1848 in Haynes, Bedfordshire (sometimes misspelled Hawnes), parents William & Sarah born c 1815 & 1817. Can't find him anywhere 1851-1871, perhaps fresh eyes will see them. William c1848 also missing from 1881 Census, though wife & children found. He re-appears in 1881 - 1901. Also: William Adamthwaite born c1837 in Manton or Horsham, Sussex (depending which Census you look at!) First appears on 1871 Census with wife Sarah (born City of London c1827) and four children Eleanor, Rose,Honora and Alfred, born between c1834 - 1865. His real first name was Alfred but that's produced no results either. Rumour has it he may have been in prison for early Trades Union activities, but that wouldn't explain the absence of the whole family, surely? His wife Sarah missing from 1871 Census. I've been through all permutations so often I'm going mad. Fresh eyes might help? Thank you so much. Margaret usmar
