Hi Debs Hope I'm ot taking too much of your time. Another ancestor I'd like to identify on the 1851 census is James LLOYD born Carmarthern, Carmnarthernshire, Wales c 1831. Hopefully he is living with his family so that We may be able to figur out the previous generation. many thanks Wade

Another of my ancestors who I'd love you to look up on the 1851 census is: Selina DAVIES born c 1824, Stanton, Gloucestershire, I believe her father may be Charles DAVIES. Could you see if she shows up on the 1851 census and what info there is on the rest of her family. thanks Wade

Thanks for the helpful offer Debs. Could you see if you can find Jane CHESTERMAN, born in Clyffe Pyford, Wiltshire c 1831 in the 1851 census. I know she married and moved to Chedworth, Gloucestrshire in 1858 but she will probably be back home still in 1851. I'm hoping she will still be living with her parents so that I can take it back another generation. Clyffe Pyford seems to be spelt in a variety of different ways in various censuses inc Clyffe Pypard , so it may not be a very simple task. Many thanks. Wade

Hi Debra Could you look up Sarah and Benjamin SKEATS please? The 1881 census shows Sarah living in Appleshaw, Hampshire, England, and her birthplace as Tytherly, Hampshire, England <1814>. It also has her name as SKEATES. In 1881 she is head of the household and her marital status is widow. Her husband was Benjamin Skeats, born c1813 in Appleshaw, Hampshire. Thanks Tracey

Hi Debra. Can you confirm the address to look the 1851 Census up. I subscribe to ancestry and tried www.1851-census.co.uk but it keeps bouncing me across to other census and not the 1851. Thanks. Jan

Hi Debra, re Thomas GOULD ,1780-1856, et al. UPDATE: Have just located them myself after taking up the 14 day free offer -thank you for your trouble Debra. Thos. was still claiming to be a 'gentleman' but living among tailors, cabbies, and poor relief recipiants. AND lying about all their ages. Still, I am very pleased to have an address at last. Dear Debra, RE; JAMES HATCHER AND FAMILY LOCKERELY Thanks so much for that look up it is exactly what I have been looking for. That is definitely the family and gives me so much information. You don't know how much I appreciate it as I have been looking for Ann for ages as she seems to have died before the 1861 census.. I hope that I can return the favour at some stage. Regards Leigh Carroll
