Anyone with burials for Plumstead 1880's

My gt gt gt grandad, Edward Knott, died in January 1883 at The Infirmary, Plumstead, his 3rd wife died shortly after. At the time of deaths they were living at, 83 Bloomfield Road Plumstead.While trying to find where they might of been buried found that Plumstead cemetery wasnt opened until 1890. Would that mean they might of gone to Woolwich Cemetery instead
