An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 28 Aug 2005 22:25

Jess This is pretty impossible, so don't bother if it annoys you!!!!I have been trying to do it on the free bit of ancestry, but it is SOOOO SLOOOOOW to turn the page that I have given up. Looking for a death of John Green (b.c.1793, Gawsworth, Cheshire) AFTER 1835. Looking for a death of William Green, born c. 1796, Gawsworth Cheshire AFTER 1841 and before 1861. As I said, pretty impossible, so PLEASE don't go to any trouble over this. Both almost certainly died in/near Gawsworth(registration district is Macclesfield) - but hey, who knows? Olde Crone

Jess, hope you can help with these. JACOBS Hyman and Christiana; children Charles, Hannah(c1856)--> all born Germany. Fanny(c1859) and Eva(c1862) born London. Have them in 1861 - Whitechapel, Middlesex and in 1881 - Leeds. Looking for them in 1871 and 1891 (Christiana is a widow in 1901; don't know when Hyman died though) BENJAMIN Solomon (c1852 Russia/Poland) Unsure when he came to England - looking for him in 1861 and 1871; by 1881 he was already married to Hannah Jacobs (above) and living in Leeds. Thanks. Margaret

DEBRA SHAW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Looked for your births/baptisms and they are from the Familysearch site/IGI=they are listed giving mothers name as Mrs john Shaw, hence your friend didnt supply a name-this is quite normal, and would suspect that there is a good chance that the original record says the same thing, especially as far back as 1748(in the case of Ann). If you go on familysearch yourself and enter the details of any one of those children ,you'll see it for yourself. If you go on Genuki site>Lancashire>parish records >St.Thomas> you'll see the church addres and a photograph of the church. It was built in 1483.
