Keely, You wont move any further without the birth cert for Elizabeth Allen. This will give the parents names, and from that you can find their marriage, eventually. After that ,you could try and find the family on the 1901 census, which might show up any older children,if any. Where does the year 1902 come from?

hi alter ego! I was wondering if you would look up some information for me as I seem to be struggling to find any after this point. I'm trying to find out about my great great grandparents. The information I do have is: My grandad is called Charles Hayes born1932 Featherstone, West Yorkshire. His father is Charles Hayes 1900 born Featherstone, West Yorkshire. Charles 1900 married a woman named Elizabeth Allen 1902 born Featherstone West Yorkshire. I am very eagar to find out more information on this side of the family, her father, mother, brothers and sisters etc... Thanks Keeley

Dinah, Nothing adds up 100% Yes George Barrett marries a mary Dec 1897 northampton 3b 148,but her name isnt perrin or whitworth. Yes a mary perrin marries a george in Northampton sep 1890 3b 164,but he is not a barrett. Ive done a broad sweep, and none of these names meet up together in any location for a marriage, ive tried every combination possible. Mary ann Whitworth marriages 1895-98 there are 6,no match for a george barrett.,none of them in northampton.

The Ego Report 7 Aug 2005 10:21

Jenny, Thats an impossible task, well not impossible, just very expensive without more information. That would cost about £50 in credits !! The 1837 site is a computer access version of the microfiche systems in libraries, and does not work like free bmd, where you put in a name ,and see the matches that pop up.Free bmd stops at 1910,for all intents and purposes, and regional bmd sites involve enquiring year by year.Even if you did that you would need to know if he was in one place all the time. There is a site for Cambridge area thats up to date, but I dont know of any other.

I scanned deaths 1891 till 1910 for Ellen maria Crowther Only one match........... Dec 1894 aged 74 Caistor 7a 356 So now you know she was born c1820 rather than 1814. Registration started in 1837,details before then require visits to County Records Offices for baptism records etc.

Thank you so much for all your help this evening, at least I have her full name now lol. Birth cerf will only tell me parents names, which I already have. I am trying to go forward from 1900, and it seems harder than the previous 100 years.... I guess she must have married later in life. thanks once again, your great lol (don't get a big head lol) I think a visit to the record office is on the cards......... Thank you......... Lilly
