Jess, I am looking for another tip! I want to look up Matilda Davies, born Steynton, 13th April, 1887. Mother Matilda Clarke, Father Thomas Davies. I have looked on Freecen and googled, Freecen does not cover Pembrokeshire and everywhere else seems to want minimum of £5 to start. Is there anywhere else I could look before asking for a look up? Thanks Abigail

Decisions, decisions. I don't think it is either as there is a marriage for her to a James Hosking with a g and she was Elizabeth Mary. The first one is the nearest but she is just a little bit older. Don't know what to suggest. Sorry. Jan

Abigail, this less -is-more theory only works if you are looking for an unsual name UNLESS yo want to look for John Born LONDON....and spend 3 weeks looking thru the results!! Always pick out the unsual christian name to look for first (then you will realise what you thought was unsual wasn't at all!!) jess x

Wow Jess, what can I say!! Thank you so much!! Hopefully this is my Walsh family, it certainly looks extremely likely. Can I be so cheeky as to ask you one more thing? Does it say what the Head of the households occupation was in 1901, my Gt Grandfather was a Hackney Carriage driver, and I have always wondered if it was a family trade. Thank you so much, Sarah :D
