thats right Karen, what i did was right click on each icon and saved them to my documents,i've also got them on floppy too, just incase!! then i opened opened them with microsoft word(adobe reader would'nt do it)once i knew i'd got them o.k. i then opened a spreadsheet, then opened my documents, clicked on censdemo, and it came up,then i saved it,and did the same with the blank. try it,let me know if it helps. chris. p.s.when i'd got everything right,i also saved on a floppy.

Karen, you need to download the transcription soft ware, go to the freecens home page,on the left you will see TRANSRIPTIONS, underneath it says "software to do it",click on that,it will take you to TRANSCRIPTION SOFTWARE, click on sscens, then click on,download sscen specifications.hope this helps. chris.

It took mine about a week and a half to two weeks. Mine is from archive cd books, have sponsored a book from them and bought a CD before. Very good scanning.

I think that is good Ann. Everyone has different time to give. Looking at my other message I best keep a watch on my spelling when doing it!! I'm sure all of us can keep each other going on it too. Good luck.

Oh Jo I have been naughty I have had the disc for some months now and only got 27 pages done. But you lot have given me the incentive to discipline myself to a page a day and as Carol says we are volunteer's. So keep up the good work!! Ann

Hi Ann, have sent in my 6 pages and have made a couple of mistakes, left out hyphens and didnt put a code in where the house was unoccupied. I jusr try and do it when I can, but I think I am going to set some times when to do it. When it's quite BUT it isn't that often in our house! Where are you up to?

Ann L from Darlo Report 17 Mar 2004 23:20

Wowee Jon That's good!!! Do you do a page a day and then are you still sending pages to Carol or are you at the stage when you will finish the disc and then send it to be checked?? Just curious Ann,Doing 1861 for Darlington
