I'm trying to track down my great grandfather and I've been told that he attempted suicide (which used to be illegal) because his wife was a husband beater when she was drunk. What a lovely woman!! How old do the files have to be before they are available and where do I go to ask about it? Any other information would also be helpful. The area I'm certain this is from is Bradford, West Yorkshire.
