My gt gt gt grandmother Susan Murray,was born in Ireland 1844,the daughter of Michael. She married my gt gt gt grandfather,Michael Morgan in 1864 in Bishops Auckland,Co Durham. Susan doesn't appear on the 1861 Durham census so possibly still in Ireland then. I have her in 1881 with her family in Liverpool. She was widowed in 1882. Can't find her under Susan Morgan in the 1891 or 1901. She died in Liverpool in the 1920's,and was buried with her husband,Michael. The burial record states Susan Morgan,so have never considered that she remarried. However,given her elusiveness,was I in fact wrong to assume this? Is it possible that she was widowed a second time,and when she herself died,her children used her first husbands name? {There are 5 possible Susan Morgan marrying on lancs bmd}
