Hi Marie; the is no record for George Longhurst born London. There are two in 1841 for Kent, 1 for Sussex. 1 for 1842 Kent. I also checked for marriages in London around that time but no luck . Sorry. The index is not complete. If you think you want the Kent or Sussex births just let me know.

Hi Suzanne; Here is the Yates marriage information.I can't find any children for them. YATES, George Marriage Wife: Alice DUCKWORTH Marriage Date: 5 Aug 1833 Recorded in: Blackburn, Lancashire, England Collection: St Mary the Virgin Source: FHL Film 1278808 Dates: 1831 - 1854 This looks like the most likely record for the birth of George. There is also the one with only the mothers name Ellen, there are siblings for this one too. If you want it let me know. One more for 1813 list the name as Yeats. I have sent the siblings for the first George in the hope that it is correct YATES, George Christening Gender: Male Birth Date: 18 Jul 1814 Christening Date: 6 Aug 1814 Recorded in: Blackburn, Lancashire, England Collection: St Paul Father: John YATES Mother: Ellen Source: FHL Film 1470927 Dates: 1792 - 1831 YATES, Ellen Christening Gender: Female Birth Date: 30 Apr 1820 Christening Date: 16 Jul 1820 Recorded in: Winwick, Lancashire, England Father: John YATES Mother: Ellen Source: FHL Film 1469063 Dates: 1812 - 1823 YATES, Ellen Christening Gender: Female Birth Date: 28 Jul 1823 Christening Date: 28 Sep 1823 Recorded in: Winwick, Lancashire, England Father: John YATES Mother: Ellen Source: FHL Film 1469064 Dates: 1812 - 1823 I think this is Alices birth. If you want her siblings let me know. There are quite a few. DUCKWORTH, Alice Christening Gender: Female Birth Date: 19 Dec 1818 Christening Date: 24 Feb 1819 Recorded in: Blackburn, Lancashire, England Collection: St Paul Father: John DUCKWORTH Mother: Alice Source: FHL Film 1470927 Dates: 1792 - 1831

Hi Hayley; Sorry to disappoint you. No marriage for either of the Olliver names you gave me. The VRI does not cover deaths. The records only go up to 1906 so nothing on Charlotte Duke. The latest Alice Duke (actually spelt as Duck) is in 1897 in Yarmouth, Norfolk. There are a couple of Maggie Dukes, the latest being in 1899 in Dalton in Furness Lancs. No Margarets with Alice for a Sister. If you think any of these are possibilites let me know and I will send you the details.

Hi Lucy; There are not any Douge families listed for Derbyshire. From 1872 to 1878 they are all in Nottingham. Prior to 1872 they are in Scotland, Ireland, Kent, Northumberlandand Wiltshire. Let me know if you would like any of these.

Hi Jane; These are the only two even close to that ime. Not in Liverpool though. There are about 5 or so Maddock couples in Liverpool who had children around that time. Would you like the information on them and their children even though Elizabeth is not listed? Sometimes not all the children are included. MADDOCK, Elizabeth Christening Gender: Female Birth Date: 25 Mar 1850 Christening Date: 9 Jun 1850 Recorded in: Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England Collection: St Michael Father: James MADDOCK Mother: Mary Source: FHL Film 1538435 Dates: 1844 - 1855 MADDOCK, Eliza Christening Gender: Female Birth Date: 12 Oct 1852 Christening Date: 5 Dec 1852 Recorded in: Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England Collection: St Michael Father: James MADDOCK Mother: Mary Source: FHL Film 1538435 Dates: 1844 - 1855

Hi Teresa, Can I ask what is the coverage like in Derbyshire - I'm looking for the children of Philip and Elizabeth Douge from 1827 onwards. I shouldn't think there would be many Douges at all as I know my Mother in law was the last in the country! Many thanks, Emma.

Hi Teresa. Thanks for looking. Thats the problem I have had so many Robinsons, all I can think of is the family must have come from the Brixton area of London, I know dad and his sister were put into care in Brixton mid 1923 by the grandmother Elizabeth, and people of that time did not move around like they do to-day. We were told their father had gone back to New Zealand (which I have confirmed and found that side of the family) and that Lilian had disappeard maybe to Ireland. but I wonder if she had died and it was the grandmother that could not cope. Anyway many thanks for trying. Valerie
