I have no connection with this name but I visited Coughton Court yesterday. I notice that there are several Throckmortons listed on this site and I was wondering if those who have them in their tree have been to Coughton Court? On the wall there is a complete family tree of Throckmortons, absolutely fascinating family as they were very much involved with the Gunpowder plot and Bess Throckmorton married Sir Walter Raleigh. I was very envious of anyone who had them in their tree. By going to C Court they would learn so much of the history of the family and have the whole family tree handed to them on a plate. Ann Glos |
